It’s been a week full of catch up and hanging and talking and singing and watching music videos….b/t all that I….
1. got my Vina nails did, hair curled and hopped off to a family friend’s wedding! Prices here r more but I will just use my MC!
2. wake up at 5am to chittychat w/my popster. He’s great and so we’re planning master’s thesis options and scheming on how to change the world, 10 steps at a time! Luv it!
3. Catching up on TV…oh What Not to Wear, video flow (I LUV TIMEBERLAND!), the Olsen twins’ Meant to Be, Youtube (it’s so fast here and is the link to me n my euro bands), Korean dramas (I can never leave those behind!) and the BBC! Yeah!
4. visiting friends and planning trips! CGA is so great! Virginia rox! Can’t wait to meet up w/my book clubbers!
5. SNOWBOARDING ON BLACKCOMB…that’s rite, this year, glacier skiing ended yesterday and I WAS THERE! Surprisingly amazing snow for July 29th!
6. eating! DQ ice cream cake, Michelina’s veggie lasagna, Que Pasa blue organic chips n salsa, Healthy Planet fruit drinks, fresh berries, ribs, shake n bake! Yum, yum, yum in my tum!

Of course, there’s more ahead! I’m gonna try to rent a motorbike! OK scooter…whatever! It’ll be like home (as in Vietnam) I know my baby misses me! And the list is long of things to do….Tim Horton’s or Krispy Kremes and biking and blading and swimming and aerobics and tennis and hip hop and clubbing and drinking and the aquarium and church w/good old Father Michael and speeches and work and writing and eating and everything that Van means to me!

So c u in town eh? heheheehehehahhaahhahhahahthooohhhhooohoohoo!

Honestly, Gary Barlow is one of the best ppl in the world. He’s my fave! Who is he? If you don’t know, why am I friends with you? He’s the lead singer from Take That; the boybander with lasting power; the super hot, fabulous Englishman that I have to meet and drink tea with once I go to Manchester.

Our paths crossed about 10 years ago, and I’ve been smitten ever since. He’s the only person I’ve ever proposed to in a love letter…. (I was only 14 but I meant it!) He’s sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fabulous! And why the gush now?

Well, it’s been over 10 years since the evil Robbie Williams broke up my band and hurt Gary (I hate RW: there it’s public) and last year, Take That had a reunion tour and made a very successful comeback sans evil man, who really is so overrated and will never make it in North America ok?

So in the past 10 years, I haven’t been up-to-date with Gary’s whereabouts. I know he writes for other singers and is a producer, I think, but I’ve actually grown up and done things myself.

From 15-25, he was discovered, traveled the world, became famous, had his band break up, went solo, got married and lived on. But now at 36, his voice hasn’t changed much and it’s just so excellent and “Back for Good” is still often played on radio stations around the world.

From 15-25, I had over 10 jobs, visited over 10 countries, lived abroad twice, learned two languages, and am finally settling down although nowhere near my hometown. Granted, I’m not a celebrity, but I think I’ve done pretty well so far…and after all those years, I still LOVE GB! He’s the best!!!!!

Friday–hip hop night gone wrong The nightclub turned HH into a 70’s fest but since we were in VN, most ppl, except the N.Americans, were feelin’ it…on the way out, we, ok I, knocked on the DJ’s booth and gave him a thumb-down-skis…we were not happy…..so we head to another club where we get our groove thing on–after refueling on burgers, club sandwiches, n Asian fruitshakes–boys hit on my hot, dancing, wonderful friends and we thank goodness for the fact that we bought a flower lei (smelled like plumaria) to combat the BO that surrounded us. I heard Pharell, Kanye, n Outkast…but where was my Jay Z?

Saturday–Now don’t be too jealous but I went to a “pimps n hos” party. Was there scandal? Hmmm…did I meet anyone of interest? Hmmmm….Oooh of course, I must stick to my schedule: this party was open booze and no snooze…being the hyperventilator that I am, I went rockclimbing, swimming, shopping, eating, and manicuring b4 the par-tay…yes, U CAN DO IT!

Sunday–rest and chatting with buddies (online, on Mimi’s bed at 3am, over instant noodles, over chorizo sandwiches and frapps, eating banh bao, on the airplane, in the taxi, at home with Lush-cious chocolate masks on our faces, in the bed in silk sleeping bags…)

Monday–at work at home again, on Cathy, my precious moto, and she will soon have a second rider, Junella!
