Loneliness knows me by name?

And yes, that was a title of an old Westlife song, that I used to love.

I haven’t yet been so lonely that I need to listen to my Keane for a pick-me-up, but after two weeks in Danang, I see that the friends situation is kinda rough. Maybe I expect too much, but other than professors and the IT guy, no one has really be hanging out with me. Some of my coworkers might but they’re off in Thailand at the moment so we’ll see.

There just aren’t a lot of obvious foreigners around who have “be my friend” signs on their backs. I try to make mine as obvious as possible, but I don’t see too many ppl to show it to anyway.

I’m not down or out but I’ll need to come up with some creative tactics to get the 50 friends or so that I need. OK so maybe 2 good ones is good enuf.
